Tottenham striker Harry Kane admits his loan move to Norwich City took him by surprise.

Kane intends to make the most of the chance ahead this season with Norwich, who at the moment are struggling for goals in the Premier League.

"It was all kind of last minute," he said. "I was number three striker at Spurs, then on deadline day, they signed Clint Dempsey.

"When I knew that was happening, the manager said it would be good to get some games out on loan, so that is when the deal got done.

"I want to be playing week in and week out in the Premier League, so Norwich was a great opportunity for me.

"It is the next step, it is what I want to be doing."
