Tottenham striker Kane fears losing Golden Boot: I can't control Salah

Tottenham striker Harry Kane admits he faces a battle to stop Mohamed Salah running away with the Premier League's Golden Boot.

Liverpool ace Salah stretched five clear of Kane on Saturday with the winner at Crystal Palace.

The Egyptian already has 29 strikes, the same number of goals as Kane managed last season when he won the trophy and three more than the Tottenham hotshot bagged the year before.

“Salah's done fantastic, he's a great great player," said Kane, who returned from an ankle injury when he came on as a sub in the 3-1 victory at Chelsea on Sunday.

“He's obviously got a bit of a head start now, and we'll see what happens.

“I can't control what he does, so I've just got to make sure I prepare well for games and just be ready.

“It's competition. I had the same last year (with Romelu Lukaku and Alexis Sanchez).

“For me, I've got to focus on my own game and my own team, and we'll see what happens come the end of the season.

“It's just about being positive. I'm delighted to be back out there and win here at Stamford Bridge, and hopefully I can just have a strong finish."
