Tottenham striker Harry Kane says he draws inspiration from his Golden Boot rivals.
After his brace against West Ham on Saturday took his September tally to eight in six games for club and country, social media was swamped with stats showing how Kane stacks up against the very best in Cristiano Ronaldo and Leo Messi.
He said: “With social media these days, it's difficult to stay away from it. Everyone is tweeting this thing or that thing and you see it.
"Obviously, I want to be one of the best players in the world, so people put it up and I see I am close to those players, and it is a great incentive to get closer and go to the next step. I use it, yes.
“I want to be one of the best in the world and to do that you have to stay up with the best and I want to score goals and maintain my form, and that's what it is about, staying consistent at the top level."
