Tottenham striker Fernando Llorente has urged fans to be patient with him as he seeks to settle after arriving from Swansea City.
The 32-year-old, signed as back-up to star striker Harry Kane, has yet to make an impact under Mauricio Pochettino and failed to impress in his first Spurs start against Championship visitors Barnsley in Tuesday's Carabao Cup win.
Llorente said: “It is my first game of the season without pre-season and now I have to continue to work a lot.
“I need more time. This summer was hard because my arm meant a long stop. I have to work a lot. I don't know how long. With minutes and confidence I think every match will be better."
