Tottenham striker Jermain Defoe has been heavily tipped to replace Emile Heskey in England's starting line-up in their must-win clash with Slovenia on Wednesday.
Defoe will almost certainly make his first World Cup start for the Three Lions as manager Fabio Capello searches for more potency up front as his side chases the elusive three points that will put them through to the next phase of the tournament.
Defoe has netted 11 goals in 41 matches for England whilst Heskey has just seven in 60 outings with just one coming in the past seven years.
