Tottenham striker Jermain Defoe admits he is carrying a groin problem.
For the defeat at Young Boys, Defoe was taken off with 24 minutes to go with a tight groin and revealed he has been nursing the problem since playing for England in South Africa.
"I felt a little tweak in my groin during the World Cup," he said. "I have been strengthening it and just came off as a precaution.
"As I was sprinting in the second half I could really feel it. Aaron Lennon had the same problem last season and he ripped it. I don't want to miss six or seven months of the season like him. Hopefully, it'll be all right for Stoke on Saturday."
