Peter Crouch is urging England to ensure their Euro2012 qualification as soon as they can.
The Tottenham centre-forward and the Three Lions meet Switzerland in Group G qualifying at Wembley on Saturday and Crouch hopes that the team can produce a winning result to kick away from the team below them.
"What it is all about this year is qualifying for the European Championship," he told the Daily Star Sunday.
"When it comes to those competitive games, it isn't necessarily about the performance - what we want to do is get results and qualify for the finals.
"Hopefully, we can get the results in the same way we did to qualify for the World Cup in South Africa.
"We got there in style and hopefully we can do something similar this time around. The big tournaments are where we need to be."
England sit at the top of their group with three wins and a draw from four matches. After Switzerland they meet Bulgaria away (September 1), Wales at home (September 5) and Montenegro away (October 6).
