Tottenham striker Peter Crouch is wanted back at Liverpool by manager Roy Hodgson.
The Daily Star Sunday says the coach's No1 priority is a forward with West Ham's Carlton Cole and Tottenham's Crouch high on his list as £10million targets with Hodgson favouring English hitmen.
Hodgson is determined to bring in one big hitter in January to give Fernando Torres a new sidekick up front.
