Tottenham striker Crouch: I will score for England in World Cup

Tottenham striker Peter Crouch insists he'll get goals for England at the World Cup.

The 26-year-old striker always feels like he will score, whether it is for club or country.

He said: "I am obviously very proud of my goals record for England. I always feel when I play for England I'm going to have chances, with so many creative players and a lot of ability.

"And at the minute I seem to be putting them away. I'm really pleased. I honestly do feel extremely confident when I come on the pitch for England with the talent we have. Hopefully, I proved that again.

"Obviously, if the manager is talking about playing one up front then everyone knows it's going to be Wayne Rooney with the form he's currently in.

"If he's playing two up front, there's another place up for grabs.

"He has a bundle of strikers, really, who are desperate to be up there. I am just one of those.

"No one wants to sit on the bench all the time. Everyone wants to be starting. When you are on the bench, you just come on and try to make an impact."
