Tottenham striker Darren Bent was thrilled with his superb hat-trick in last night's 4-0 UEFA Cup trouncing of Dinamo Zagreb.

The £16.5m England hitman's treble destroyed Zagreb and took his tally to nine for the season.

Bent said: "That's my first hat-trick for five years, since I played for Ipswich at Walsall.

"My mum's run off with the match-ball for safe-keeping! It's easily my best night for Spurs and I'm loving the responsibility of being up front on my own."
