Tottenham star Son admits 'crying' in front of President Moon

South Korea's World Cup defeat to Mexico left Tottenham star Son Heung-min in tears.

Their World Cup is all but over after their 2-1 defeat by Group F leaders Mexico in Rostov.

And emotion overcame Spurs attacker Son when he returned to the dressing room from flash TV interviews at the end of the game and saw President Moon Jae-in and the rest of the players.

"I really didn't want to cry, but after I saw my teammates and the President in the locker room, I couldn't stop crying," said Son.

"I feel sorry for my teammates, especially those who were having their first World Cup. They really did a great job.

"Our players really did well, but it's sad that we lost, and the result is something that the players can't do anything about. We did our best."
