Tottenham have tabled a bid for Blackburn Rovers defender Christopher Samba. The Daily Mail says Tottenham have made a £7.5million offer for Samba.

Harry Redknapp has put a central defender at the top of his January shopping list and has pinpointed Samba as his No 1 target.

Spurs officials have contacted Rovers, making their opening offer to set up a deal for their skipper, who is keen to leave the struggling Barclays Premier League club.
