Tottenham skipper King wants more silverware

Tottenham captain Ledley King admits he wants to add to this week's Carling Cup triumph.

King said: "It means a massive amount. For a player to be at a club for so long and not win anything, you know how desperate everyone is to do so.

"I played in one final before and lost it, and I didn't want to go through that again. I thought the team was brilliant on the day.

"At 1-0 down against a team like Chelsea, a lot of teams may have folded, but not us. We believed we were the better team.

"I wanted to be one of those captains that led a team up those steps to lift a trophy, but I don't want to stop there - I want to lead the club onto more success. I'm not happy leaving it at one trophy.

"When you go far in competitions, you see yourself as in with a chance of winning finals and you want to win as many as you can.

"The UEFA Cup is another chance to win something, but we'll be taking it one game at a time."
