Tottenham captain Ledley King was delighted to beat Hull City on his comeback game on Monday night.
"We did the dirty work well and then tried to get the ball down and play," King told the Spurs website, typically flawless on his return from a month out with a hamstring injury. "That's how we have to play away from home.
"We had to deal with a lot of aerial balls, they were a threat, we rolled our sleeves up and did that and were then brave enough to try and play as well.
"That was important, not to get caught up in their style of football, we had to stick to ours.
"We had a good mix on the night and it was a massive win for us."
