Tottenham signing Paulinho admits he rejected a huge offer to move to Russia.

Paulinho has announced this week he is leaving Corinthians to sign for Spurs.

"I received a proposal from Russia which was much higher than I was I getting with Corinthians. It was a million dollar proposal, I would earn ten times more, but I declined because of the Confederations Cup and the World Cup," revealed Paulinho.

"I played two and half years in Lithuania and Poland. I think I would've lost national team 'visibility' if I'd gone to Russia. I have to think about my career.

"You can earn money anywhere. Who gets $1 million does the same thing with $500,000, you just need to stay calm."
