Tottenham midfielder Scott Parker is proud to be part of England's squad.
He made it 11 caps in the Euro 2012 qualifier with Bulgaria but missed out against Wales on Tuesday.
Parker said: "It's been a great week. I started against Bulgaria and then we got a very good result against Wales, but I was obviously disappointed not to play.
"Getting a call-up means an incredible lot to me. I feel my football has come on massively in the last two years.
"I'm happy outside football and I've realised over the years that when my family are settled and my kids are happy at school, my football does its talking.
"Early in my career I was probably not mentally tough enough but now I am older and wiser. I understand more about general life and football."
