Tottenham have signed Spartak Moscow goalkeeper Stipe Pletikosa on a season-long loan.
Spurs boss Harry Redknapp had said before the season started that he would prefer to have three goalkeepers challenging for a first-team spot.
First choice Heurelho Gomes missed Saturday's 1-0 Premier League defeat because of injury, and Carlo Cudicini was at fault for Hugo Rodallega's winner.
Pletikosa, 31, has won 80 caps for Croatia and appeared in the World Cup finals of 2002 and 2006 and the 2008 European Championships.
