Tottenham shrug aside Hull for Asia Trophy win

Tottenham easily disposed of Hull 3-0 and lifted the Asia Trophy in Beijing. Spurs played some impressive football and took a deserved lead through captain Robbie Keane in the 17th minute.

Hull threatened briefly in the second half but Keane added his second from the penalty spot in the 69th-minute before Aaron Lennon tapped in a third two minutes from time.

Spurs boss Harry Redknapp said: "It was good. The boys played well in both games, they performed well and that was good. We're off to Hong Kong now for another game. It has been a hectic schedule, but they've coped as well as can be expected and they've done great.

"I thought Wednesday we played excellent against West Ham and today again we played some good stuff at times.

When asked about the upcoming match in Hong Kong, Redknapp added: "We're going to give all the lads who haven't had a game and give a few of the boys a rest obviously. They've had a tough schedule with two games at Wembley, three games in Asia. It has been a very tiring time for them here. It is not ideal, but we'll cope with it."
