Tottenham are preparing to submit a £16million bid for Southampton midfielder Victor Wanyama.

The Daily Mail is reporting Spurs boss Mauricio Pochettino has pinpointed the Kenyan international as the man who can add steel and grit to his midfield.

The 24-year-old has two years remaining on his contract at St Mary's but is said to be open to the prospect of a move to North London where he would have to opportunity to reunite with former Saints boss Pochettino.
