Tottenham are set to offer Emmanuel Adebayor a new contract.
The Sunday Mirror says at the end of the season, the Togo striker will have just one year left on his contract.
Tottenham chairman Daniel Levy will be reluctant to let Adebayor go into the final year of his contract and risk losing him on a free transfer after paying Manchester City £5million for him.
And if he continues his impressive form at White Hart Lane, Sherwood would recommend Adebayor be given a contract extension.
