Tottenham are seeking £5 million for striker Robbie Keane.
Keane was linked with Blackburn Rovers over the weekend.
The Lancashire Telegraph says Rovers are looking to bolster their forward line this summer and are believed to have seen a tentative initial bid rejected for the Republic of Ireland's all-time record goalscorer, thought to have been in the region of £2million.
The two clubs are a long way apart in terms of valuation, with Tottenham wanting £5m for a striker they brought back to White Hart Lane from Liverpool for an initial fee of £12m two-and-a-half years ago.
