Manchester City striker Emmanuel Adebayor is joining Tottenham on-loan.
The Mirror says Spurs saw off a late bid from Inter Milan to land the striker last night.
Adebayor, however, will not be allowed to play against his parent club when Spurs entertain City on Sunday.
Adebayor, 27, will have a medical in London on Wednesday after Tottenham agreed to fund a larger share of his £170,000-a-week wages then first suggested.
The deal had stalled because of the £25million ex-Arsenal striker's reluctance to take a drop in salary after being axed from the first team by City boss Roberto Mancini.
