Tottenham have made contact with Schalke for striker Klaas-Jan Huntelaar.
The Sunday Mirror says the club are also on the lookout for two new strikers.
Spurs chairman Daniel Levy has explored the possibility of trying to sign Huntelaar, 28, whose Schalke contract contains a £17m buy-out clause.
Huntelaar scored 29 goals in 32 Bundesliga games last season and Levy is considering including Rafael van der Vaart in a deal for him, with Schalke interested in the 29-year-old and the ex-Hamburg midfielder hinting he would be open to a return to Germany.
