Tottenham's Villas-Boas agreed with poor penalty call - Hull's Bruce

Hull City boss Steve Bruce revealed that Tottenham's Andre Villas-Boas totally agreed with him regarding the late penalty at White Hart Lane on Sunday.

Spurs were awarded a spot kick when Ahmed Elmohamady appeared to handle the ball in the area in the 79th minute of Hull's eventual 1-0 loss.

Bruce bemoaned the decision after the match and said that Villas-Boas had also questioned the call made by referee Michael Oliver.

"He [Villas-Boas] absolutely, totally agreed. He is going to go and see it and know it is a soft one and in my opinion it is not right, not for the stakes we are playing for - a big game, at White Hart Lane and he has robbed the players of a well-earned point," Bruce said.

"We could get relegated by a point, you never know it is too early yet, but it is what it is."
