Rafael van der Vaart has admitted that Holland's performance at Euro2012 was simply not good enough.
The Oranje, who were runners-up at the 2010 World Cup, floundered in Group B with zero points from the three group stage matches which has prompted plenty of criticism from all around.
There has been speculation that some untoward things happened behind closed doors following the disastrous campaign but Tottenham star van der Vaart has rubbished that whilst also calling for manager Bert van Marwijk to stay on.
The Spurs attacker also said that everyone involved with the Dutch squad is to blame and that the finger should not be pointed at particular individuals.
"(Klaas-Jan) Huntelaar was a bit angry. That's correct. (Wilfred) Bouma slapping the team doctor? Completely false.
"Of course I will continue as an international. I don't feel like the calls for rejuvenation are aimed directly at me. We are all to blame for what happened."
He added: "People often make wrong decisions in the heat of the moment. I don't have anything against it if Van Marwijk continues. He was successful at the World Cup and stuck with that team. A lot of players weren't in top form, though.
"It's a huge disappointment. You can always go out in a group like this, but not in this way. I understand the criticism. The way we played was unacceptable.""There were a few problems, but it wasn't as bad as people made it out to be," he told Kicker.
