DeAndre Yedlin has been named US Soccer's Young Male Athlete of the Year for 2014.
The 21-year old full-back has capped a stunning rise to prominence by being named American soccer's top young player after a stellar 2014 calendar year.
The Seattle Sounders ace, who signed with Premier League club Tottenham in August before being loaned back to the MLS club, was thrilled to land such a prestigious prize after a stellar individual year.
"It's an absolute honor to win this award," Yedlin told USsoccer.com.
"I would like to thank my teammates, my family, and most of all the fans for the amazing support for our team. It was a tremendous year for a lot of young players, and we all share the dream of continuing to have the opportunity to represent our country."
