Tottenham midfielder Danny Rose admits he hopes his form for England U21 can catch the eye of Fabio Capello.
Rose struck England's winner against Portugal at Wembley on Saturday.
He told TalkSport: "Everyone wants to go to the World Cup next year and if you are playing for your club and it won't do you any harm to be playing for your country as well. We know our gaffer here (Stuart Pearce), he has a close contact with Mr Capello so obviously if you do well here, the gaffer here will go back to Mr Capello and let him know.
"It's not impossible to go to the finals next year in South Africa but I'd like to think everyone has a small chance of going, definitely."
