Tottenham defender Danny Rose has spoken highly of this weekend's opponents Sunderland.
The 24-year old left-back spent a season on loan with the Black Cats in 2012/13 and was extremely grateful to the Wearside club ahead of Saturday's meeting with White Hart Lane.
"Sunderland were the first football club to give me the chance to play week in, week out at this level," he told the club's official website.
"The club treated me as if I was one of their own and even now I can go up there and they treat me and my family exactly the same so I have a lot of love for the people there.
"I wish them all the best - after this weekend, of course!"
Spurs currently sit sixth on the Premier League table following their 2-1 loss to Crystal Palace last weekend while Sunderland sit 16th having lost three of their past four matches.
