Tottenham manager Harry Redknapp feels his former club West Ham United should not go after the rights for the Olympic Stadium in Stratford.
The site, built for the 2012 London Olympic Games, is up for grabs for after the event with Spurs and Hammers going head-to-head for the venue.
West Ham have already said they will not alter the stadium, which has been constructed for athletics, whilst Tottenham have made it clear that they plan to knock it down and rebuild a football-specific arena.
Redknapp says that the area between the grandstand and the pitch will make the venue a wasteland and has urged Hammers management to pull out of the race.
"Try to mix football and athletics and you end up with a great big bowl of nothing," he said.
"The windblown no-man's land between a pitch and the stands can kill football."
