Tottenham's Redknapp admits he is unsure about buyout clause for Newcastle's Ba

Interest in Newcastle United striker Demba Ba continues but one club who are reported to be keen admit they are unsure of how much he may cost.

It has been suggested that a proposed buyout clause for the Senegal international is around £7million and although Redknapp has indicated he is keeping tabs on the situation, he is none the wiser on what Spurs will need to trump up if they want Ba at White Hart Lane.

"I keep hearing conflicting stories about the buyout clause," Redknapp said.

"One person says one thing and (then) somebody comes on and says he can be bought out for X amount.

"I think the only people that probably know are Newcastle and Demba Ba."
