Roman Pavlyuchenko believes Tottenham are capable of taking out next season's Europa League. Spurs experienced life in the top flight of European football with a quarter-final finish in the Champions League this term but will have to take a step down after finishing fifth in the Premier League.
The Russian striker feels that Harry Redknapp's squad is strong enough to achieve success in the old UEFA Cup and also said that this had been a successful season for Tottenham.
"Our club is quite able to win the Europa League next year," Pavlyuchenko told Sport Express. "We have a very good team, and we could still have reinforcements.
"As for the fifth place, we took a step back compared to last year, without getting into the Champions League, but it's still better than sixth.
"We lost too many points in the end but the whole season should not be called a failure.
"We should not forget that we played in Europe's premier club tournament, and reached the quarter-finals."
