Tottenham's Lennon admits there is more to come

Tottenham winger Aaron Lennon says he still has improvement in his game and is looking forward to helping his club up the league table.

Lennon scored a brace in Spurs 4-0 demolition of Middlesbrough on Wednesday and there has been plenty of talk of an England call-up but the 21-year old is focusing on club football at present.

"I haven't been there for a while now, I've missed it and if I could get back in then brilliant but it's about keeping Spurs in the league right now," Lennon said.

"We know we shouldn't be in this position with the players we have at the club. It's just a pity the way we started, it killed us really.

"But there are still 10 games to go and we could still kick on. If we could get seventh it would be unbelievable but the main thing is to keep in the league.

"With my all-round performance, I'm playing the best I've ever played and the fittest I've ever been but I'm still only 21 and I think I'm improving," Lennon added.

"I think there's more to come.

"I've played a lot of games now and I'm starting to read the game a lot better, I know what defenders are trying to do, whereas last year people were doubling up on me and I wasn't too sure."
