Tottenham midfielder Tom Huddlestone says it is vital for the club to hold onto their top players if they want to push for Champions League action again.
Spurs performed above expectations in making the quarter-finals of Europe's premier club competition but with rumours regarding the future of some of their key players such as Luka Modric and Gareth Bale, Huddlestone highlighted the importance of maintaining a strong squad at White Hart Lane.
"It has taken us a few years to get a squad together like this, so it would be a shame if we did (sell our best players)," he said.
"Luka is unbelievable. He has the best first touch I've ever seen to take the ball away from a defender. I think he has been fantastic again this season."
