Tottenham midfielder Tom Huddlestone has undergone an operation on his ankle that is likely to have him sidelined for about six weeks.
The 24-year old appeared in four matches for Spurs this season before medical staff recommended he have the surgery which was today confirmed on the club's official website.
"Tom Huddlestone has today (Friday) undergone a surgical procedure to his right ankle," read the statement.
"The midfielder will be further assessed by the specialist in six weeks' time, after which a timeframe for a return to training will be determined."
