Tottenham's England captain Harry Kane has played down comparisons with the world's best.
England coach Gareth Southgate described Kane as the best No.9 in the world on Friday, and yet the Tottenham striker insists he has got a long way to go before he is on the same level as Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo.
“I think it's hard to compare with them two, I said before those two set the standard in football over the last ten or so years," said Kane.
“I don't think I'm up there with them yet. That's my aim, I aim to improve.
"This summer was great but it's on to more things and can I improve."
