Spanish club Sevilla have ended their interest in Tottenham attacker Giovani dos Santos.
The Mexico international remains down the pecking order at White Hart Lane and was on the verge of leaving in the summer but a deal with Los Rojiblancos could not be agreed upon.
Tottenham's valuation at the time was too high and now Sevilla president Jose Maria del Nido has indicated that the price on dos Santos has not changed and the club will look elsewhere in January.
"He is now not a target for us because his price is superior to the market value," he radio station SVCF.
"It is true that the coach has demanded this footballer but now we are searching for a different type of player.
"If we spend money in January the chances are it will be a forward."
