Tottenham's Caulker urges Swansea to kick on

Swansea City loan defender Steven Caulker hopes the Welsh club can continue their good form and remain in the Premier League next season.

The Swans sit 13th on the table after picking up 13 points from their first 12 games in the top flight and the 19-year old, on loan from Tottenham, feels they can pick up points consistently to stave off relegation.

"The performances have been there since the start of the season," Caulker, who has been injured since September, told skysports.com.

"From what I have seen everyone is doing really well at the minute and everyone knew that we would eventually show what we are capable of in the Premier League and now we are.

"If we can keep this kind of form going until Christmas then it will give us a great platform for the second half of the season.

"It is all about staying up this year at the end of the day. So it is all well and good being above the bottom three at Christmas, but what counts is where we end up in May.

"I am confident that the boys will continue to do well this year and all three of the clubs that came up are doing well so long may it continue."
