Tottenham's Caulker hoping for Swansea loan

Tottenham defender Steven Caulker says a loan deal to Swansea City would be a very favourable move.

The 19-year old centre-back spent time away from White Hart Lane last season, impressing in the Championship with Bristol City, and he now could again go out on loan with the likes of Swansea and Norwich City.

Caulker feels a Premier League loan would benefit him greatly and stated that Swansea was his preferred choice.

"I think that a Premier League loan will be the best option for me next season and if something along those lines can happen this summer it would be great," Caulker told skysports.com.

"If I stay at Tottenham then so be it, but it all depends on what crops up and if it means going back on loan to a Championship club again then I will do.

"It is all about playing regular first-team games at my age, so hopefully something will happen this summer.

"Any sort of experience at Premier League level would interest me to be honest and I wouldn't turn anything down at this stage.

"Obviously, I played against them (Swansea) twice last season and they play some very good football, so if that was an option I'd be more than happy to go there.

"I wouldn't see it as a drop down at all, so we will just have to wait and see if their interest turns into something concrete because I'd love to play Premier League football next season."
