Andre Villas-Boas has taken a veiled swipe at Chelsea in relation to their handling of the signing of Willian.
Villas-Boas' Tottenham were hot on the heels of the Brazilian midfielder before the Blues hijacked their move by luring him to Stamford Bridge for £30million.
Spurs are worried about trying to bring another player, Vlad Chiriches, to White Hart Lane and after Sunday's 1-0 win over Swansea City, Villas-Boas was asked about the Steaua Bucharest defender.
He said, tongue-in-cheek: "Vlad Chiriches, there is an interest in the player. Maybe somebody steals him as well!
"I'm telling you we have looked to strengthen our backline with the departure of Steven Caulker, last year we had Younes [Kaboul] injured for the season but we had five, so we are looking for the position and we are going to go ahead with our re-strengthening."
