Harry Redknapp's Tottenham have reached the semi-finals of the Carling Cup after accounting for Championship club Watford 2-1 at Vicarage Road.

Tamas Priskin put Watford ahead in the 13th minute before the Cup holders equalised through a Roman Pavlyuchenko penalty just prior to half-time.

The match ebbed and flowed with both sides having chances but it was the finishing of substitute Darren Bent that broke the deadlock and sent the Spurs one step closer to another final at Wembley
