Tottenham are lining up a move for Middlesbrough defender Ben Gibson.

The Daily Express says Tottenham are continuing to keep tabs on former England under-21 international central defender Gibson who wants to leave Middlesbrough.

The £20 million rated nephew of Boro chairman Steve Gibson doesn't want to play in the Championship next season and is pushing to leave the Riverside Stadium.

Newcastle United and West Bromwich Albion are also said to be keen on Gibson after interest from Premier League champions Chelsea cooled in recent weeks.

Tottenham who are playing in the Champions League next season are keen to add a central defender to their ranks this summer.
