Tottenham rival Bayern Munich for Real Madrid's Sneijder

Tottenham are monitoring Wesley Sneijder's situation at Real Madrid.

The Holland international could be on his way with a new board about to be voted in at Real.

Spanish sources say Bayern Munich and Tottenham head the queue of clubs keen to take Sneijder off Real's hands this summer.

It's reported Spurs have indicated they're ready to offer £18 million for the midfielder.

Sneijder is a really good player, but its a tricky decision either tottenham or Bayern, because both are clubs who are underachieving at the moment, he may favour the EPL because of the prestige for playing in england, and i sure hope he does. he is a similar player to bently too, so if tottenham get him, goodbye bently

Some pretty silly comments here, but the outcome may also depend on a player going the other way (Jenas or Bentley) as part of the deal. I don't think there's any doubt either Spurs or Bayern can finance this deal but which club's priorities swing the owners. I do hope Spurs get him - he's a class act and the type of quality player Spurs MUST go after to have any hope of catching the top four.
