Tottenham have joined the battle for Schalke goalkeeper Manuel Neuer.
The Daily Mail says Arsenal and Tottenham have been alerted to signs that Neuer's proposed move to Bayern Munich is in danger of collapse.
Manchester United manager Sir Alex Ferguson monitored Neuer as he considered possible successors to Edwin van der Sar, who is set to retire after the Champions League final, but the Schalke keeper made it clear he would prefer to stay in Germany and United are understood to have agreed a deal for Atletico Madrid's David de Gea.
It leaves Arsenal and Spurs, both looking for a goalkeeper this summer, with the chance to move for 25-year-old Neuer.
