Tottenham will compete with Arsenal for Feyenoord fullback Daryl Janmaat this summer.

Feyenoord chief Martin van Geel confirmed yesterday that Janmaat had rejected a new contract offer and would likely be sold in the summer.

The Holland international has been a long-term target for Gunners boss Arsene Wenger as he seeks a replacement for contract rebel Bacary Sagna.

However, he will face competition from Spurs, where football chief Franco Baldini feels they lack depth in the fullback positions.
