Tottenham came from behind to beat nine-man Manchester City 2-1 at Eastlands.

Robinho's gave City an early lead but Darren Bent struck twice to move Spurs out of the relegation zone and stretch their unbeaten run to five games.

City's Gelson Fernandes was sent off for two bookable offences after half an hour and Richard Dunne followed him on 83 minutes.

The visitors then finished the game with ten men with Benoit Assou-Ekotto sent off in the last minute.

"It's been a fantastic couple of weeks for us," said Spurs boss Harry Redknapp.

"Today was a big game for us and I thought we started the game well and suddenly found ourselves 1-0 down but we got back in and started playing.
