Tottenham are closing in on a deal for AS Roma striker Mirko Vucinic.
The Daily Mail says Tottenham manager Harry Redknapp is set to turn to Vucinic in his quest to bolster his strikeforce.
Redknapp is a long term admirer of the 27-year-old and would jump at the chance of bringing the Montenegro centre-forward to White Hart Lane.
Spurs have so far been frustrated in their attempts to recruit fresh blood this season, with veteran goalkeeper Brad Friedel and talented youngster Souleymane Coulibaly the only arrivals of note.
The north London club have been pre-occupied by trying to keep hold of Luka Modric, who is a target for Chelsea.
