Tottenham are being linked with a renewed bid for Sevilla striker Luis Fabiano.
The Daily Mail says Spurs were on alert last night after it appeared Sevilla were lining up a replacement for prolific striker Fabiano.
It had been thought that the Brazil international would see out the remaining year of his contract with the Spanish side after they rejected a £10.6m bid from Marseille, £4m below their asking price.
However sources close to the deal claimed last night that FC Twente striker Bryan Ruiz was on his way to Sevilla in a £12.3m deal, raising fresh hope about Fabiano's availability.
Harry Redknapp is a long-term admirer of Fabiano, 29, and spoke earlier in the summer of his desire to bring him to White Hart Lane.
