Tottenham remain keen on Ajax defender Jan Vertonghen.
The People says Spurs are waiting to see whether QPR come back in for Sebastien Bassong before pushing on with a bid for Ajax defender Vertonghen, 24.
Tottenham have been looking into a possible £10m deal for the Belgian but will go ahead with an offer only if wantaway Bassong leaves.
