Tottenham are believed to be ready to offer Robbie Keane, David Bentley and Jermaine Jenas for Aston Villa’s Ashley Young.
Spurs boss Harry Redknapp is a known admired of the 25-year old winger but has so far been unsuccessful in his attempts to lure him to White Hart Lane.
Villa have placed a £30million price tag on Young meaning his out of Tottenham’s range but Redknapp wants to sanction a trade which would see at least one of the trio move to Villa Park.

Jenas played a total of like 3 games, and Keane opted for Celtic rather then staying and helping Spurs to reach a CL spot. Bentley came in for Lennon whe injured - But in truth, if it was not for Gareth Bale's emergence at that exact time, we would have looked very wanting. Bentley had 2 assits in a FA cup game vs a League 1 team, and scored 2 deflected goals. They would not be missed - Young, Bellamy, Parker - for - Bentley, Keane, Jenas.
Those players did not contribute much to the success of spurs last season, Jenas was injured for most and played poor when he was fit, Keane was on loan at celtic and Bentley did not do as well as lennon but was a decent replacement, so if any I would keep Bentley as cover only. To be fair though I agree we don't need to change the team to much espeacially the midfield we have so much talent in midfield already, A striker would'nt hurt though.
Why Spurs needs to offload Bentley, Keane and Jenas ?. They are all talented and had helped Spurs to reach the Champion. Of course, injury ruled them out for most of the seasons. Look at Keane, he returned to the Lane from Liverpool and the impact is immediate. There is no guarantee that new players could fit into the team and it has proven under Ramos. The latter sold players and the result was a disaster for Spurs. Hope Rednapp keep his focus and develop on the existing squad. They deserved a chance to be in the Champion League having helped Spurs to secure its place. It was them who get Spurs to Champion League and without them, Spurs would probably in mid table. It is every player's dream to play in Champion league and hope Rednapp don't disappoint them.
