Tottenham ready with bid for Man Utd striker Chicharito

Tottenham are ready to bid for Manchester United striker Javier Hernandez. The Daily Express says the Mexico international, currently with the World Cup squad in Brazil, was reduced appearances mainly form the bench last season, starting just six Premier League matches.

The 26-year-old has since been linked with a move away from Old Trafford, with Wayne Rooney, Robin van Persie and Danny Welbeck all placed higher in the striker rankings.

Tottenham are in the market for a consistent striker and can offer regular game time to Hernandez, who admitted last week that he needs a team to show more faith in his ability.

Arsenal have also been keeping tabs on Chicharito, but will only be able to offer him shared appearances with main striker Olivier Giroud.
